Hosting & High Performance · Module 06
Hosting, applications and performance all from a single source: we optimise existing environments hosted by various providers or run your shop on our own, specially configured servers.
More than just the CPU and RAM
A larger server will not resolve an incorrect cache configuration, a faulty search index or a slow plugin. It is only the interplay of all these levels that turns good hardware into a truly fast online shop.
We therefore view Shopware, PHP, the database, Redis, Elasticsearch, the web server and storage as a single system. This specifically reduces bottlenecks and prevents unnecessarily expensive hardware from merely masking existing problems.
Run Shopware, Laravel or WordPress in line with usage and data volume.
Connect, size and monitor Redis and Elasticsearch properly.
Align PHP, database, web server and NVMe storage with the load profile.
From any supplier or directly from us
We work with various hosting providers and optimise existing systems. At the same time, for several years now we have been offering our own servers, which are specifically tailored to demanding web applications.
We assess which options your existing provider offers, configure the available services properly and get more performance out of your current hosting package.
Our servers are preconfigured for Shopware 6, Laravel and WordPress and are set up, managed and continuously optimised by us to suit each individual project.
The optimised performance stack
We do not set up the key services using a one-size-fits-all approach based on a template. Storage, data volume, the Shopware version, the product catalogue, visitor traffic and the plugins used determine how the components work together effectively.
Fast cache, session and service integration tailored to the Shopware architecture.
Configure installation, indexing, resources and the Shopware connection properly.
Align memory and PHP acceleration with the application and deployment process.
Latest storage generation for fast access times across databases, indexes and files.
Operate versions, plugins, themes, workers and background processes appropriately.
Configure integration, memory, indexes, expiry rules and resources precisely.
Reduce repeated work and keep response times stable under real-world load.
Scale resources economically to suit the application and future growth.
Every layer is measured. Additional hardware only comes into play once the configuration and application are already running efficiently.
The key components
The details vary from project to project. However, these three building blocks are among the most important levers in our hosting and performance work.
Redis only offers a performance benefit if the instances and Shopware services are configured correctly. We set up the connection and tailor the relevant areas to the project and load profile.
For large product ranges and complex search requirements, we set up Elasticsearch, integrate the search service seamlessly with Shopware, and check the indexing, resources and updates.
OPcache stores pre-compiled PHP code; APCu provides fast storage for suitable application data. We configure both tools to suit PHP, the application and the available RAM.
When it’s worth looking into hosting
We step in where growth, data volumes or technical complexity place real demands on the infrastructure.
Despite good frontend optimisation, the shop remains slow in terms of TTFB and dynamic pages.
Products, filters and indexes require a robust search and data architecture.
Higher visitor numbers should not lead to unstable response times or outages.
The new environment should be properly sized and configured from the outset.
Improving technology in a transparent way
We first analyse the actual bottleneck, then select the appropriate environment and use measurements to demonstrate the change.
Development and hosting from a single source
We’re not only familiar with the server, but also with the code that runs on it. This means that troubleshooting doesn’t stop at the boundaries between the agency, the hosting provider and the plugin developer.
Proven environment for Shopware, Laravel and WordPress.
Optimise existing hosting or switch to a more suitable provider.
Shopware development and server configuration work hand in hand.
Configuration and resources are based on the project's actual requirements.
Shopware SEO in detail
Shopware PageSpeed optimisation improves the storefront. Behind the scenes, the hosting provides the foundation for fast server responses, search functions and dynamic processes.

Explained briefly and clearly
A standard hosting provider primarily provides the infrastructure. As a Shopware 6 hosting agency, we also take the application into account: Shopware configuration, PHP, caches, Redis, Elasticsearch, the database, plugins and actual page types. This enables us to distinguish between cause and effect much more precisely.
No. We work with various hosting providers and also optimise existing environments. If a change is advisable, we can also offer our own servers, which we have been fine-tuning specifically for Shopware, Laravel and WordPress for several years.
Redis provides very fast RAM-based access. Depending on the Shopware version and architecture, it can be used for suitable cache, session or queue areas. The key factors are correct integration, an appropriate storage strategy and checking whether the shop is actually being relieved of the load.

OPcache stores pre-compiled PHP bytecode, thereby reducing the need for repeated compilation. APCu is a fast local storage solution for suitable application data. Both tools serve different purposes and are configured by us to suit the application and the available RAM.
Database accesses, search indexes, cache files, logs and deployments generate a large number of input and output operations. The latest NVMe storage devices offer very low access times and high data transfer rates for these operations. They therefore form the technical basis for our new high-performance servers.
Our aim is to achieve extremely fast server response times and a shop that feels instantaneous to visitors. We cannot realistically guarantee a flat-rate zero loading time, as the theme, images, third-party providers, the user’s device and their internet connection all play a part. However, we optimise the entire stack over which we have control and make the results measurable.
Yes. In addition to Shopware, our own servers and their configuration are also optimised for Laravel and WordPress. The specific setup of PHP, the cache, the database and the web server is always tailored to the application in question.
More performance at every level.
We’ll analyse your current setup and advise whether optimising your existing provider’s service or running your own Web Labels server is the better option.
