Shopware Page Speed · Module 05
Faster product pages, stable user experiences and a responsive storefront: we optimise Core Web Vitals, images, the theme, JavaScript and the server – tailored to your Shopware 6 setup.
More than just a green score
A PageSpeed score provides insights under defined test conditions. For a successful online shop, real-world user data, key page types and a fast, stable checkout process are also crucial.
We therefore do not simply aim blindly for a score of 100. We analyse which resources delay the visible content, which scripts block interactions and where layouts shift. This results in a prioritised list of actions with a clear impact.

The key levers
Images are often a powerful tool, but they are not the only one. We consider the shopfront, Shopware logic and order fulfilment as a whole.
Large product and experiential images are often among the biggest performance bottlenecks. We reduce file sizes, check that dimensions are appropriate, ensure responsive delivery and prioritise the main visible image.
Theme customisations, apps, tracking and external widgets can block the main thread. We identify unnecessary code and only load functions when they are needed for the page in question.
A fast shopfront also requires quick server responses. We check the caching strategy, compression, fonts, use of a CDN, and any technical issues in the Shopware and hosting set-up.
Our plugin for image performance
Our Media Booster automates a particularly common performance optimisation task: it compresses and resizes Shopware images, creates WebP or AVIF versions, and serves the appropriate format to supported browsers.
Automatically optimise new uploads and process existing media in batches.
Configurable settings and checks for server compatibility.
Optimise alt tags, image titles and SEO-friendly file names based on product data.
Compression, resizing, WebP/AVIF, alt and title text, file names and batch processing.
CSS, JavaScript, fonts, tracking, apps, Shopping Experiences and loading priorities.
Cache, TTFB, compression, CDN options and renewed measurement of the relevant page types.
The Media Booster optimises the image area. We address other PageSpeed issues specifically within the Shopware, theme or hosting setup.
New in Lighthouse and PageSpeed Insights
Lighthouse has recently added a new section called ‘Agentic Browsing’. It assesses how understandable and usable a website is for AI agents – separately from the traditional performance metrics.
For Shopware, we’re looking at which aspects are relevant today: a correctly structured llms.txt file, a clean accessibility tree and – where appropriate interactive features are present – WebMCP. These are not new Core Web Vitals and are not currently a ranking factor confirmed by Google.
Check accessibility and the recommended Markdown structure for AI systems.
Structure headings, labels, buttons and forms clearly.
Assess registered tools, form coverage and valid schemas.
Measurable and prioritised
We’ll start with the relevant shop pages, implement the most significant changes first, and then monitor the actual impact.
We test representative product, category and Shopping Experience pages on mobile and desktop and separate lab data from real user data.
We prioritise issues according to their impact on LCP, INP and CLS as well as effort, Shopware dependencies and conversion relevance.
We implement image, theme, JavaScript, cache and server optimisations and configure the Media Booster wherever it provides useful support.
We measure again, check for side effects on the storefront and checkout and document the next sensible performance steps.
Shopware SEO in detail
Technical SEO lays the right foundations; PageSpeed improves delivery and user experience. Our module on Shopware GEO, AEO & AI visibility is also relevant for the new agent assessment.

Explained briefly and clearly
Media Booster compresses and resizes images, generates WebP and AVIF versions depending on server support, and can process existing media in batches. It also optimises image metadata such as alt tags and titles, as well as SEO-friendly filenames. The original files are retained.
No. Smaller images can significantly improve loading times in particular, but they do not resolve issues such as slow server responses, blocking JavaScript, heavy third-party scripts or layout shifts. That is why the Media Booster is a key component of the overall PageSpeed optimisation process.
Lighthouse has introduced an additional section called ‘Agentic Browsing’. This includes checks for an llms.txt file, a well-structured accessibility tree and – for interactive applications – registered WebMCP tools, form coverage and valid WebMCP schemas. We evaluate these points separately from the standard performance score.
There is currently no official statement from Google on this matter. This is a new Lighthouse audit section focusing on usability for AI agents, not a new Core Web Vital. We are therefore only implementing measures that make technical sense for the shop in question.
Laboratory results can vary due to factors such as server load, network conditions and third-party providers, amongst others. We therefore compare multiple measurements, different page types and – where available – real-world field data. A single test run does not provide a reliable basis for decision-making.
We’ll start with a quick performance check of the main page types. You’ll then receive a prioritised assessment: which issues can be resolved quickly, where the Media Booster can help, and which additional theme, plugin, hosting or Shopware customisations are required.
Faster shop. Better user experience.
We analyse the key page types, prioritise the biggest performance bottlenecks and combine Media Booster, storefront optimisation and technical implementation.
