GEO, AEO & AI Visibility · Module 03
Your customers ask questions, compare products and look for the right solution – including using AI. We prepare your Shopware shop for this: with helpful answers, clear product information and user-friendly technology. So that your offering is easy to understand right where purchasing decisions begin.
From search query to product selection
“Which one is right for my needs?” or “How do these variants differ?” Questions like these determine which products make it onto the shortlist in the first place. Your shop should provide clear, technically sound answers to these questions.
With Shopware GEO and AEO, we link these questions to your product range. We fill in missing information, highlight differences and guide visitors from helpful content to the relevant category or product page. In this way, your shop supports the customer advisory process even before a purchase is made.
The technical foundation remains an integral part of the strategy. Our Shopware SEO Audit highlights areas requiring action, whilst technical Shopware SEO helps to resolve potential barriers to access.
Prepare content as a useful source for generative search responses.
Address specific customer questions with clear, verifiable answers.
Monitor whether and how your brand, content or products appear in AI-generated answers.
A mention, a source link and a visit to your shop are three different outcomes.
Our services for AI search
We match your customers’ questions with the strengths of your product range. This results in specific content, consistent data and actionable tasks for your Shopware shop.
What questions do people ask before buying your products? We match buying guides, product comparisons and specific use cases to your product range. This forms the basis for a strategy covering relevant topics, landing pages and selected AI searches.
We turn scattered information into clear answers. Product pages, categories and guides explain what an item is suitable for, how it differs from others and what its limitations are. Clear information helps people make choices and is easier to understand.
We organise attributes, variants, brands and product identifiers into a clear, traceable structure. We check visible details, product mark-up and existing feeds for inconsistencies – to ensure that price, availability and product attributes are described consistently.
We check whether the desired search engines can access your Shopware content. This includes HTML output, internal links, indexing controls and any bot blocks. We consider rules for search access and model training separately and will coordinate any changes with you.
Why should customers trust your shop? We highlight your verifiable strengths, your own product expertise and professional advice. Consistent branding, traceable sources and well-maintained company information make your offering clear and verifiable.
We monitor a tailored set of relevant search queries and document where your shop is mentioned or linked to. Available platform reports, identifiable traffic and measured conversions complete the picture. This allows us to prioritise the next steps based on their value.

Frequently Asked Questions
GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimisation: content is prepared in such a way that it qualifies as a helpful source for generative search results. AEO stands for Answer Engine Optimisation and focuses on providing clear answers to specific questions. For Shopware, we combine both approaches with clear product information, accessible technology and a recognisable brand. The terms overlap; what matters most is the benefit to your customers.
Together, we determine which systems are best suited to the target audience and market – such as ChatGPT Search, Google’s AI Overviews and AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot or Perplexity. These systems select sources in different ways. We therefore assess the technical requirements and the responses observed for each platform, rather than assuming a universal AI ranking.
No. Technical accessibility, high-quality content and a clear shop structure remain the foundation. GEO and AEO complement this work by providing specific response formats and monitoring AI searches. Google does not specify any additional specialised optimisation for AI Overviews and AI Mode. We integrate these measures into your existing Shopware SEO strategy.
No. The respective system determines which mentions, phrasing and sources are used. Responses may vary depending on the question, context and timing. We improve verifiable conditions and analyse the observed trends. However, this does not guarantee any specific recommendation, ranking or increase in turnover.
A plugin or an additional text file is no substitute for useful content and well-structured product data. Google’s AI search functions do not require any special AI files or a specific schema. Whether an extension makes sense for your shop depends on a specific technical requirement. We’ll start by looking at the existing options offered by Shopware and your current setup.
OpenAI distinguishes between the search crawler, OAI-SearchBot, and the training crawler, GPTBot. The settings can be controlled separately. This means that search requests can be permitted whilst crawling for model training remains blocked. We will review the rules of the relevant provider and agree on the desired behaviour with you.
We distinguish between observed mentions, linked sources, identifiable website visits and measurable enquiries or purchases. Bing Webmaster Tools can report source references for supported AI services. Google records traffic from its AI search features in the Search Console’s Web Performance report. Supplementary, documented search samples provide a snapshot; they do not capture the full extent of AI usage. A mention can occur even without a click.
The scope depends on the product range, existing content, data quality, markets and technical implementation. During the initial consultation, we will clarify your objectives and review any existing analyses. You will then receive a quote setting out the specific services included. It often makes sense to start with key categories and selected product groups before applying successful approaches to other pages.
We can review new content and technical changes once they have been implemented. The time it takes for search engines to process them and incorporate them into their results varies. We agree on appropriate monitoring intervals and assess developments across several samples. In doing so, we take into account that demand, competition and changes to AI systems also influence the outcome.
Make your product knowledge easy to find.
