ERP connection for Shopware 6

Connecting Shopware 6 with SAP S/4HANA

We connect Shopware 6 with SAP S/4HANA and its predecessor SAP ERP (ECC). Products, prices and stock levels come from SAP into the shop, while orders and customer data go back to the ERP. For this we use the interfaces your SAP system provides and a middleware that translates between both sides.

SAP and Shopware 6: two systems with clear roles

SAP S/4HANA or SAP ERP holds the material master, prices, conditions, stock levels and order processing. Shopware 6 is the sales channel for your customers, in B2B as well as B2C. The integration ensures that both work with the same data, with SAP remaining the leading system.

Options for the integration

SAP systems offer several interfaces, such as OData services, IDocs or BAPI and RFC calls. At the start, we work out together which of them are enabled in your system and maintained by your SAP team. We then plan which data should flow and how often.

Between SAP and Shopware we usually use a middleware. It translates data formats, transfers only changes and logs every run. If a record fails, it is retried individually without stopping the rest of the sync. You can find out more on the page APIs and middleware.

B2B prices and conditions from SAP

In B2B in particular, a lot of logic sits in SAP: customer-specific prices, discounts, tiered pricing and delivery terms. We make sure your customers see the prices in the shop that SAP has set for them. How this fits with Shopware 6 is described on the page Shopware B2B.

SAP S/4HANA or SAP Business One?

This page is aimed at companies using SAP S/4HANA or SAP ERP. For SMEs, SAP offers a separate system, SAP Business One, whose integration with Shopware 6 we describe on the page SAP Business One. You can find further systems in the ERP overview.

Short answers to what merchants usually ask before a SAP S/4HANA integration.

Contact us
Is there an integration between SAP S/4HANA and Shopware 6?

Yes. We connect Shopware 6 via the interfaces of your SAP system, such as OData services, IDocs or BAPI calls, and a middleware that translates between both sides. Which interfaces are available in your system is something we clarify with your SAP team before the start.

Does the integration also work with the older SAP ERP (ECC)?

Yes. SAP ERP also provides interfaces for syncing products, prices, stock levels and orders with Shopware 6. If a move to SAP S/4HANA is planned, we design the integration so that it can be adapted afterwards.

Which data do SAP and Shopware 6 exchange?

SAP sends products, prices, customer-specific terms and stock levels to the shop. Orders go back to SAP as sales orders, together with new customer data. The integration returns the delivery status to Shopware. We define the exact fields before the start.
