Why email requests are no substitute for a customer portal

Customers and partners ask by email for invoices, delivery status or documents, and your team gathers the answers from several systems. Each of these requests costs time on both sides, even though the information has long been available.

What a customer portal or web app gives you

  • Customers and partners find documents, statuses and data themselves.
  • Routine requests land in your team's inbox less often.
  • You define permissions per role and company.
  • The application runs in the browser on desktop and smartphone, without installation.

Scope of services

What our web app development covers

  • Concept with roles

    We define who should do what in the portal.

  • Design

    Interfaces for desktop and smartphone that are clear and quick to use.

  • Development with Laravel

    A stable foundation that grows with your requirements.

  • Login and security

    Roles, permissions and two-factor login if required.

  • Connection

    Data comes from shop, ERP, CRM or your document storage.

  • Operation and expansion

    Hosting, maintenance and further development stay with us.

In web app development we build applications that run in the browser and need no installation: customer portals with order history and documents, dealer and partner portals or internal tools for your team. The web app accesses your existing systems, such as shop, ERP or CRM, so that data is not maintained twice.

Examples of portals

A customer portal shows invoices, delivery notes and orders in one place. A dealer portal provides price lists, product data and marketing material. An internal tool brings data from several systems together on one interface, so nobody has to switch between five windows. For B2B orders, a B2B shop with Shopware is often the better choice, and for pure administrative tasks a custom back end.

Tech stack

  1. ApplicationShopware, Laravel or WordPress with theme and plugins
  2. Cache and searchRedis and Elasticsearch configured to fit
  3. PHPcurrent version with OPcache
  4. Serverour own servers with NVMe storage
We look at every layer, not just the theme: from the application through cache and search to the server.

Data from your systems

Most portals live on data that already exists. We connect ERP, CRM and shop via their interfaces and synchronise only changed data. How this works technically is described on the page about APIs and middleware.

class SyncStock implements ShouldQueue
{
    public function handle(Erp $erp, Shop $shop): void
    {
        foreach ($erp->changedProducts() as $product) {
            $shop->setStock($product->number, $product->stock);
        }
    }
}
Our own code, cleanly documented and update-safe.

How we work

How your web app development project runs with us

  1. Understand

    We look at your business, your systems and your figures before we suggest anything.

  2. Plan

    You receive a concept and a quote with individual items and a realistic schedule.

  3. Build

    We develop in stages. You see interim results on a test environment and approve them.

  4. Run

    After go-live we take care of hosting, updates and monitoring if you want us to.
