Where standard shop search reaches its limits and AI search helps

The standard search in many shops only finds what appears in exactly that form in the product text. Anyone who types in a technical term, a synonym or a question sees no results and leaves. Questions about choosing a product end up with customer service by email or go unanswered.

What AI search in your online shop gives you

  • Customers find products even with typos and in their own words.
  • The chat only recommends items that exist in your shop.
  • You see what was searched for and not found.
  • Customer group prices and hidden items are correct in the search too.

Scope of services

What AI search with the product advisor from Web Labels includes

  • Minofinder as a plugin

    For Shopware 6, Shopware 5 and WooCommerce.

  • Synonyms and technical terms

    The search understands what your customers call products.

  • Product advisor

    With its own system prompt and additional knowledge from PDF documents.

  • Search by photo

    Customers find parts via a photo of a rating plate or invoice.

  • Searches without results

    The analysis shows what customers search for and cannot find.

  • Custom AI search

    For systems without a plugin we develop a suitable solution.

An AI search understands what customers mean, even with typos, synonyms or whole sentences. An AI product advisor answers questions in a chat and recommends items from your real catalogue. For both we use our own product Minofinder, which runs as a plugin in Shopware 6, Shopware 5 and WooCommerce, and adapt it to your product range.

We developed Minofinder in Bargteheide and run it ourselves. Prices, customer groups and availability come directly from the shop, and search and chat access the same index. Technically, Minofinder works with Claude, OpenSearch, Laravel, Redis and MySQL, among others. All functions are described on the product page for Minofinder.

$answer = $ai->ask(
    system: 'Only answer with data from the catalogue.',
    context: $catalogue->matchingProducts($enquiry),
    question: $enquiry->text,
);

$log->store($enquiry, $answer);
return $answer->forApproval();
We connect AI features via API, with clear rules, a log and approval by your team.

AI search delivers the most in shops with a large product range, many technical terms or a need for advice, for example for spare parts, technology or accessories. B2B shops benefit too, when customer group prices and hidden items have to be correct in the search. How search contributes to conversion is explained under conversion optimisation. For your own systems without a plugin, we develop AI search individually as part of AI consulting.

How we work

How we build AI search into your shop

  1. Understand

    We look at your business, your systems and your figures before we suggest anything.

  2. Plan

    You receive a concept and a quote with individual items and a realistic schedule.

  3. Build

    We develop in stages. You see interim results on a test environment and approve them.

  4. Run

    After go-live we take care of hosting, updates and monitoring if you want us to.

Frequently asked questions about AI search

All questions and answers
What distinguishes AI search from a traditional shop search?

A traditional search compares words. An AI search also understands typos, synonyms, colloquial language and whole sentences and shows suitable results when customers do not know the exact product name.

Can the product advisor really advise customers?

Yes, within the scope of your product range. It answers questions, suggests suitable products and sticks to the rules you define. You adapt the tone, name and advice rules to your shop.

Can the search also analyse images?

Yes. Customers upload, for example, a photo of a rating plate, an invoice or a vehicle registration document. Minofinder recognises item numbers, serial numbers or technical data and turns them into a search query.
