When off-the-shelf plugins are not enough for your Shopware shop

Ready-made plugins cover many cases, but rarely exactly yours. So several extensions get combined and adapted, updates mix up functions, and at some point nobody knows which plugin does what.

What custom Shopware plugin development does for you

  • The function follows your process, instead of your process adapting to the plugin.
  • Plugins keep working after Shopware updates because we continue to maintain them.
  • Shop performance is checked as part of development.
  • You can choose between custom development and our plugins from the Shopware Store.

Scope of services

What we take on in Shopware plugin development

  • Concept

Requirements and technical concept before the first line of code.

  • Plugins and apps

For Shopware 6, cleanly separated from the core.

  • Extending what exists

In a way that keeps updates possible.

  • Payment, shipping, marketing

Extensions exactly where the standard ends.

  • External connections

Plugins linked to ERP, PIM or APIs.

  • Testing and maintenance

Staging tests and maintenance for new Shopware versions.

In Shopware plugin development we build functions your shop does not have as standard: from small adjustments in the admin to extensions with ERP or PIM integration. As a Shopware Partner since 2014, we publish our own plugins in the Shopware Store. We develop custom plugins to be update-safe and keep them current with new Shopware versions.

Our own plugins in the Shopware Store

We offer some of our developments in the Shopware Store, for example an intelligent product advisor, a category quick selection for spare parts and accessories shops, a subscription extension for Mollie and time-controlled shopping experiences. We also use these plugins in client projects and develop them further there. Often an existing plugin with a small adjustment is faster and cheaper than a new development.

From small helpers to integrations

Some plugins solve a single task, such as an additional field in the admin or a custom rule in the checkout. Others connect Shopware with an inventory management system or a PIM. For such cases, take a look at Integrations & systems. If your project needs an application outside Shopware, Laravel development is the right route.

Tech stack

  1. ApplicationShopware, Laravel or WordPress with theme and plugins
  2. Cache and searchRedis and Elasticsearch configured to fit
  3. PHPcurrent version with OPcache
  4. Serverour own servers with NVMe storage
We look at every layer, not just the theme: from the application through cache and search to the server.

How we work

How your custom Shopware plugin is built

  1. Understand

We look at your business, your systems and your figures before we suggest anything.

  2. Plan

You receive a concept and a quote with individual items and a realistic schedule.

  3. Build

We develop in stages. You see interim results on a test environment and approve them.

  4. Run

After go-live we take care of hosting, updates and monitoring if you want us to.

Frequently asked questions about Shopware plugin development

All questions and answers
Who owns a plugin you develop for us?

We set that out in the quote. Custom extensions for your shop are developed for your use. Whether a plugin should later also appear in the Shopware Store is something we decide together.

What happens to the plugin when Shopware is updated?

Before major Shopware updates we test plugins in a staging environment and adapt them if interfaces in the Shopware core have changed. This is part of the maintenance you can agree with us.

Are your Store plugins also available as a bundle?

Yes. Besides buying them individually in the Shopware Store, we offer a plugin flat rate that lets you use a fixed number of our plugins at the same time. Installation and updates run through Shopware as usual.
