marketplaces and inventory management
Product data is often scattered: technical data in the ERP, copy in Word documents, images on a network drive. Each channel is maintained separately, and once several languages or marketplaces are involved, the details contradict each other.
Scope of services
Afterwards, PIM and Shopware 6 speak the same language.
Properties, variants, categories and media end up in the right place.
Where a suitable connector exists, we set it up.
Otherwise we connect PIM and shop directly via the Shopware API.
For large product ranges only changes are transferred.
Errors are logged and reported.
With PIM integration we connect your PIM system with Shopware 6 so that product copy, properties, images and translations come into the shop from a single source. A PIM (Product Information Management) is the system in which you maintain product data centrally. We set up existing connectors or develop the connection ourselves, for example for Plytix.
class SyncStock implements ShouldQueue
{
public function handle(Erp $erp, Shop $shop): void
{
foreach ($erp->changedProducts() as $product) {
$shop->setStock($product->number, $product->stock);
}
}
} Every PIM structures data a little differently from Shopware. Before any data flows, we define which attribute becomes which property, how variants are structured and which media belong where. Clean mapping ensures that filters in the shop work and categories are complete.
In most projects the PIM supplies the product information and the ERP supplies prices and stock. We plan both integrations together, see ERP integration. The same data can then be passed on to marketplaces.
How we work
We look at your business, your systems and your figures before we suggest anything.
You receive a concept and a quote with individual items and a realistic schedule.
We develop in stages. You see interim results on a test environment and approve them.
After go-live we take care of hosting, updates and monitoring if you want us to.
Your contacts
Tell us where your project stands. Tobias will listen, ask questions and tell you honestly what we recommend and roughly what it will cost.
Our team for your questions
PIM stands for Product Information Management. In a PIM you maintain product data such as copy, properties, images and translations centrally and pass it on from there to your shop, marketplaces and catalogues.
Not always. The ERP usually manages master data, prices and stock, but rarely sales-ready copy, images and translations. A PIM pays off above all with large product ranges, several languages or many sales channels.
