Why postponed updates make website maintenance harder

Updates are often postponed because nobody knows whether everything will still work afterwards. With every skipped version the next step gets bigger, and outdated plugins are a common entry point for attacks.

What regular website maintenance gives you

  • System, plugins and themes stay up to date.
  • Updates are tested before they are installed.
  • There is a backup before every update.
  • A log shows you what has been updated.

Scope of services

What we take on in website maintenance

  • Regular updates

WordPress, Shopware, plugins and themes stay up to date.

  • Testing on staging

We check updates in a test environment first.

  • Backup before every update

If something goes wrong, the previous state is quickly restored.

  • Functional check

After the update we check forms, the basket and important pages.

  • Security advisories

We continuously review manufacturers' notices about vulnerabilities.

  • Log

You can see which work we did and when.

With our website maintenance, your website and shop stay up to date: we install updates for system, plugins and themes, test them beforehand, back up the data and then check the most important functions. Security vulnerabilities are thus closed promptly, and you do not have to worry about versions, compatibility and backups yourself.

Test first, then update

We install larger updates in a staging environment first, which is a copy of your website. Only when forms, basket and important pages work there do we roll the update out to the live environment. A backup always runs beforehand, so that every step can be undone.

Monitoring checks around the clock whether shop and website are running and alerts us before your customers notice anything.

Maintenance for Shopware

Shopware shops have their own requirements, such as plugin dependencies, the message queue and expiring PHP versions. For these there is Shopware maintenance. How we additionally secure servers and data is described under security.

Tech stack

  1. ApplicationShopware, Laravel or WordPress with theme and plugins
  2. Cache and searchRedis and Elasticsearch configured to fit
  3. PHPcurrent version with OPcache
  4. Serverour own servers with NVMe storage
We look at every layer, not just the theme: from the application through cache and search to the server.

How we work

How website maintenance works with us

  1. Understand

We look at your business, your systems and your figures before we suggest anything.

  2. Plan

You receive a concept and a quote with individual items and a realistic schedule.

  3. Build

We develop in stages. You see interim results on a test environment and approve them.

  4. Run

After go-live we take care of hosting, updates and monitoring if you want us to.
