AngelBoxx: redesign and Shopware 6.7 for store and online shop

AngelBoxx sells fishing rods, reels, lures and accessories in its own store in Hammoor and online. We designed a new theme for the shop, updated Shopware to 6.7 and brought stock levels between the store till and the online shop back in line.

What makes it special: Store and online shop share one stock for around 3,100 products and almost 9,000 variants. A custom plugin also books out stock for online orders that are not shipped through Pickware.

Plugins

Plugins used

For AngelBoxx we used these Shopware plugins of our own, among others.

  • Shopware 6 plugin Rich Snippets and AI Visibility by Web Labels: view from the Shopware Store Rich Snippets and AI Visibility Gives Google and AI search structured data on products, categories and your company, plus an FAQ element and an llms.txt.
Description

At the start, the store and the online shop were working with wrong stock levels. Online orders were set to “shipped” without the stock being booked out. The old theme was outdated, there was no Google Shopping feed, and only 11 of 480 category translations had any text. On mobile, the largest element of the home page took 36 seconds to appear, and every page weighed 7 to 8 MB.

The new theme “AngelBoxx 2026” shows large nature images under a transparent header, a mega menu with all subcategories and product pages with an “at a glance” table and an advice card for the store. The original logo stayed.

For the New Year season there is a fireworks pre-sale: customers order and pay online and collect their goods at the store in Hammoor. Shipping is technically blocked for fireworks.

Scope of work
  • Design and concept of the new theme “AngelBoxx 2026”
  • Update from Shopware 6.6 to 6.7 with a full backup and a short maintenance window
  • Setup and support for Pickware ERP, Pickware POS and Pickware DHL
  • AngelboxxStockSync plugin for correct stock between store and online shop
  • SEO copy and meta data for 133 categories, with FAQ per category as structured data
  • GEO and AEO: structured data on all page types and llms.txt for AI search
  • Google Shopping feed with optimised titles, variants and shipping costs
  • Pagespeed optimisation for images and thumbnails
  • Fireworks pre-sale with in-store pickup
  • Maintenance and hosting
Technical details

Shopware 6.7 (update from 6.6.10.10 to 6.7.15.1 on 31 October 2026) with the custom theme “AngelBoxx 2026”, Pickware ERP, Pickware POS and Pickware DHL plus PayPal. The AngelboxxStockSync plugin books out stock as soon as an online order is set to “shipped”. Plus the Web Labels plugin for rich snippets and AI visibility.

Mobile pagespeed before and after: home page LCP 36.2 s to 8.3 s and 7.8 to 2.9 MB, category 36.0 s to 8.8 s and 7.4 to 1.9 MB, product page 9.7 s to 6.6 s and 7.0 to 2.2 MB.

Since 31 October 2026, angelboxx.de has been running with a new design on Shopware 6.7. The shop is built for anglers who like to browse online and still value advice in the store: free shipping from €100, same-day dispatch for payments by 4 pm and strong brands such as Zeck, SPRO and Mikado.

We continue to look after AngelBoxx with maintenance, hosting and Pickware support. Planning a similar project with a store and an online shop? Get in touch.
