Background

Prebena manufactures fastening technology: pneumatic nailers, staples and matching accessories. The manufacturer sells directly through its official online shop. We supported the shop on Shopware 5 for five years. With the end of Shopware 5, the move to Shopware 6 was due.

The task

With fastening technology, the details decide: which staple fits which tool, which spare part belongs to which nailer? The new shop was to make this matching easier than before. In addition, the product data still had to reach the ERP system reliably.

Our solution

We replanned the shop for Shopware 6. Wireframes came first, followed by design and templates. For product selection we developed a product advisor and filters that show the matching tools, consumables and spare parts for each device. Navigation with products, promotions and the Prebena World helps visitors find their way even without the advisor.

Technology and data flows

The project includes a custom solution for automatic product export to the ERP system, so product data no longer has to be maintained twice. We also developed an IDE export with re-import. Data goes from Shopware to the external system and comes back into the shop via the re-import.

Result

The official Prebena shop runs on Shopware 6. Customers use the product advisor and filters to find the right accessories for their device, and product data flows automatically into the ERP system. Through the IDE export with re-import, the shop exchanges data with the external system in both directions.

Description

Prebena.shop is the first port of call for high-quality pneumatic nailers, staples and fastening technology. We have been working with Prebena since 2019 and have continuously developed the online shop during this time. Now we have taken the next big step together: the migration to Shopware 6.

In the process we optimised the entire project once again, with improved usability, a higher conversion rate and a modern screen design that not only looks good but also guides users more clearly. The result is a future-proof, high-performance online shop that leads customers to the right products even more easily.

Technical details

For Prebena.shop we carried out the complete migration from Shopware 5 to Shopware 6 and set up the shop from scratch on Shopware 6. All product, customer and order data as well as the relevant shop configuration were migrated successfully.

Our work covered both frontend and backend development to tailor the shop to Prebena's needs. Alongside a custom template for a modern, fast design, we further improved usability and conversion in the new system.

We also developed an IDE export with re-import: data goes from Shopware to the external system and comes back into the shop via the re-import. To meet the client's specific requirements, we programmed custom Shopware 6 plugins that provide tailored functions for the shop.

The result is a powerful, future-proof online shop with better performance and an improved user experience.
